Steve leads the PackLate team driving the vision, strategy, and execution to deliver great travel deals in a fun and exciting marketplace. Steve has owned vacation rental property in Park City, Utah for over 10 years. As he was graduating from the University of Michigan with a BS in Computer Science, Steve founded SECA, Inc., a software and consulting company which he sold to MCI seven years later. Steve has lead a software anti-piracy company in Israel and an Internet company focusing on the baby boomer space. In 2008 Steve camped out with First Round Capital and in 2009 became a partner in DreamIt Ventures, a pre-seed venture firm. Steve teaches part time at The Wharton School and is a co-founder of The Stop ALD Foundation, a medical research foundation focused on Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD).
Gil Beyda is managing partner of Genacast Ventures, a venture capital firm focusing on seed-stage Internet companies. Gil also sits on the board and advises several early-stage companies. Prior to Genacast, Gil was CTO, EVP Engineering, and eventually EVP Corporate Strategy & Development of TACODA driving its groundbreaking, behavioral targeting ad network technology culminating in a partnership with eBay and the acquisition of TACODA by AOL. Prior to that Mr. Beyda helped pioneer Internet advertising in 1995, founding Real Media which he helped grow to $54 million in revenue before selling it to 24/7 Media (NASDAQ:TFSM) which was subsequently acquired by WPP (NASDAQ:WPPGY).
Peter Giamalva is principal, Dartmoor Hill, LLC. a private company providing executive management and marketing support in leisure real estate and travel. Giamalva joined Wyndham’s (NYSE:WYN) Group RCI in 1999 and held the positions of chief marketing officer; general manager, leisure rental division; and chief operating officer, RCI – Europe and Middle East. As COO, he managed a business with a vast array of leisure accommodations including more than 60,000 vacation homes, 54 bungalow parks, over 100 campsites and hundreds of resorts affiliated to the RCI exchange network. Prior to joining Group RCI, Giamalva spent eight years at Budget Rent a Car Corporation and spent 12 years in the tour-operating (package vacation) business, where he helped establish and grow Thomson Vacations, now Apple Vacations in the US.
Chris Fralic is a Partner at First Round Capital, an early stage venture capital firm with offices in Philadelphia, San Francisco, and New York. Chris joined First Round Capital in 2006, and was most recently VP of Business Development at del.icio.us which was acquired by Yahoo! in December 2005. Chris previously spent 6 years at eBay, and his last position was a combination ad sales and business development role helping entertainment companies such as Twentieth Century Fox, Universal Music Group, Apple and Netflix reach and connect with eBay users. Chris previously led the eBay Entertainment categories, managing the transaction, platform and supply/demand aspects of the books, movies and music marketplaces in the US with over $1 billion in transaction volume during his time there. Chris had been the VP of Business Development at Half.com, which eBay acquired in June 2000, where he helped develop many parts of the business including fund raising, content licensing, the affiliate program, supply and distribution partnerships, and advertising and sponsorships sales. Chris has over 25 years of technology industry experience, including significant Internet sales and business development roles since 1996. He was Vice President of Business Development at Nextron, Director of Business Development at America Online, and an Account Manager at Oracle focused on their early Internet offerings for some of its largest accounts such as AOL and Time Warner. Chris earned his BS in Finance from Villanova University and his MBA from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
Scott oversees fund operations at SeventySix Capital, managing deal analysis, research and due diligence, finance, modeling, marketing, public relations, and investor relations. Scott also works closely with SeventySix Capital’s Managing Partners on the identification of fund and portfolio company strategy and deal structuring and negotiation. Scott has also been instrumental in the initiation of SeventySix Capital’s university relationships and internship program. Prior to joining SeventySix Capital, Scott worked at TMG Health, recognized by the INC 500 as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the US. Previously, Scott worked for over 6 years in the sports/entertainment marketing industry, most recently with Comcast-Spectacor. Scott earned a BA from Penn State University and a Juris Doctorate and an MBA from Temple University. He resides in the Philadelphia suburbs with his wife and daughter.
Amish Jani, a Founder and Managing Director of FirstMark Capital, focuses on software and systems investments in the enterprise, communications and digital media sectors, and serves on FirstMark Capital’s Investment Committee. Amish also leads FirstMark’s investment strategies for the Indian marketplace. Prior to founding FirstMark Capital, Amish served as a Partner with Pequot Ventures.
